Our museum houses one of the largest collections of industrial locomotives in the country under one roof. Many locomotives and vehicles in our museum have been restored by our dedicated volunteers on site in our Workshop. We’ll show the different types of locomotives and we’ll tell you their unique stories. With interesting facts about their past lives, to where they were built and the industries that they worked in.
Moving around the museum, you can travel through history from 1865, to early 2000’s and get up close to our real life and huge locomotives. Witness the size of the tiny footplate, imagine this was shared by the driver, firemen and cleaner, all working on board many long shifts up to 12 hours!
